Persephone and Mermaid Morrigan entertain the crowds at the Farmer’s Market
HAMPSTEAD, NC (WECT) – Classically trained Mermaid Morrigan (aka Cindy Rhodes) and her hammered dulcimer “Persephone,” entranced shoppers yesterday at Poplar Grove’s Farmer’s Market with her mystifying “mermaid music.”
Persephone’s meditative sounds and Mermaid Morrigan’s teachings about the history of the hammered dulcimer can be heard every Wednesday throughout the Farmer’s Market season.
Mermaid Morrigan has been sharing her musical talents with the world for over 40 years. On April 16 she is scheduled to perform at Tyron Palace in New Bern and today at 4 p.m. she will be performing a live webcast on TopicsDesignTV.
