PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Pender County Health Department will be offering flu shots soon, according to a news release from a spokesperson on behalf of the department.
The following are dates, times and locations that flu shots will be administered:
Monday, Sept. 24
Surf City Welcome Center
102 N. Shore Drive, Surf City, NC
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Tuesday, Sept. 25
Topsail Senior Center
20959 US Hwy. 17, Hampstead, NC
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Wednesday , Sept. 26
Pender Adult Services
901 S. Walker Street, Burgaw, NC
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 2
Atkinson Town Hall
200 N. Town Hall Ave. Atkinson, NC
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Thursday , Oct. 4
Willarlea Ruritan Club
82 Penderlea School Road Willard, NC
9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Thursday, Oct. 11
Topsail Beach Town Hall
820 S. Anderson Blvd., Topsail Beach, NC
10 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Additionally, vaccines will be available at the Burgaw branch of the department starting Monday, Oct. 1. At that point, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, flu shots will be available until the vaccine runs out. The Burgaw branch is located at 803 S. Walker Street.
Vaccines will be available at the Hampstead branch starting Tuesday, Oct. 1. They will be administered there each Tuesday until the vaccine runs out from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Hampstead branch is located at 18676 U.S. Highway 17.
It is asked that you bring your insurance card. The flu shots are $30, and $55 for a high-dose shot.
The vaccine is free for uninsured children 6 months old to 18 years old, healthcare workers and college students with IDs.
