PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A group of students at North Topsail Elementary School recently raised money for a police officer injured during Hurricane Sandy.
According to the Pender County school system’s website, Bridget Wortman’s first and second grade class wanted to donate money towards the officer’s recovery. They raised a total of $200 and presented the money, along with get well cards, to Det. Antonucci from the Wayne Police Department in New Jersey.
